,,, the day the world stood still, the day the world changed, or did it?
I was in San Francisco, attending an IBEW Convention. I had turned on the news about the time that the second plane hit the second tower. I was stunned, just sat there in disbelief. It changed the whole theme of the convention. The local unions from New York waited for news about their members that worked in the buildings. At the end of the week we had to rent vans to get home to Colorado Springs.
This morning at the conference in Las Vegas we paused for a moment of silence, had a little tribute video. Myself, I got kind of teary-eyed over the whole thing, I think about, not much has changed in this world since then, unless it has gotten worse.

I was in Salt Lake City. I had just turned the news on to see what was going on before going to a day of meetings. I immediately called Renee and our boys. We called the meeting off so we could all go home to our families. I was thankful to go.
